Capturing your new joy

I’m guessing you’re on this page because you’re either waiting for your little one’s arrival or you’ve just given birth and you’re excited to book your newborn photography session – how very exciting!
My home photography studio is based in Forres and is mainly geared towards your little one’s comfort. You will be asked to put your feet up and relax with a hot drink and a biscuit or 2, while I get to work and start creating some gorgeous images of your little one that you will want to hang proudly on your walls for everyone to see!

Booking in
Newborn babies are best photographed when they are between 6 and 15 days new. This is because they are still very sleepy and curly at this stage, making it easier for me to get beautiful sleepy images.
Please select the package that you would like (below) and either pay the deposit or full amount through my online shop (you will be welcome to upgrade your package during your gallery viewing). I will be in touch to ask for your due date to pop you onto my expectant mother’s list so that I can keep some space free for when your little one decides to arrive.
Alternatively, you are welcome to add yourself onto my list if your baby isn’t due for a month or so. Please scroll down past the gallery to fill in the form.
After you have had your baby, please let me know once you are all home and we will fix a newborn photography session date for the following week.
Your session
Your newborn photography session will take place in my studio, based in Forres and will take between 3-4 hours. This is purely because the session is completely baby-led, your baby will spend most of this time feeding and being rocked back to sleep.
During this time, I will make sure you have plenty to eat and drink with a mini fridge filled with cold drinks, a Nespresso coffee machine (decaf options available) and plenty of snacks to keep you going. The room will be very warm, so please make sure that you wear layers (and don’t worry if you manage to nod off whilst watching from one of my comfy chairs!).
After your session
Your images will take around 3-4 weeks to edit. Once they are ready, you will be sent a URL and password to view a private gallery of your images for you to choose your favourites, download them and order prints and wall art from my online shop
I am a huge believer in printing at least one image for your walls, it’s a fact that children whose photos are proudly hung, grow up to be more confident people.
I have a good range of wall art, so before attending your viewing appointment, please take a good look around your house and try to visualise what type of wall art would suit your home and where you would like to hang it.
Of all the things my hands have held, the best by far is you.
